Good morning! (even though it might not be morning when you are reading this....) So it's been 8 days since I got my wisdom teeth out. Glad it's over! The pain was no where near as bad as I thought it might be. I'm actually pretty much pain free right now. I still have yet to eat normally though because I'm afraid to put food back there. I've lost 10 pounds as a result! I can't wait to eat real food! I'm trying to decide what I want to eat first when I can. The only scary part of getting my wisdom teeth out is that when I woke up from the anesthesia, I couldn't stop crying. The nurse told Jon that when people are so nervous beforehand, sometimes they wake up crying and don't know why. Thankfully it didn't last long. I think Jon was scared.
The night after my surgery, Kayden got sick! So I got NO sleep the night after my surgery. That was not fun. Then the day after, Jon got sick! So there was no one to take care of me! I had to take care of everyone else! Thankfully everyone is all better and it's all over with!
Kayden has been amazing me with his reading and writing lately. The other day I looked at his notebook that he writes things in and saw the word GOAT...I was like, what? where'd he learn that? Then he came up to me and asked me to write a k next to the letter BA. So I did, and told him that wasn't a word. He came back and had an E written and said it's BAKE. He also learned the word SHUT and WAIT somewhere along the way. Yesterday he wrote BIG and asked me what that word was. So I told him and asked him where he learned that from and he said his movie. He watches the Leap frog videos and learns SOOOO much from them. He just amazes me sometimes. :-) I think he's going to do great in school with the learning. Not so sure about his behavior though! That, I'm worried about!
I'm training to run in the Pittsburgh Marathon. No, not the whole thing, but in a relay with 4 other people. The lengths that we will all run are 5.4miles, 4.8, 4.8, 6.2, and 5. Not sure which one I'll be running but I gotta start running. I can't run yet because it hurts my mouth with the pounding, but I've done the elliptical 3 days in a row for 40 minutes. Jon told me that 18 more days and it becomes habit. :-) that'd be nice because I NEED to keep doing it! I need to lose lots of weight and run fast! We shall see. The race is mid May so I have 2 months! I think that should be plenty of time. hopefully!
have a great weekend everyone!

The relay marathon sounds like fun, I'd like to do one of those someday! Hope you can get back into the swing of running before too long. Jon's right, soon it will be a habit again if you just keep at it! :) That's cool about Kayden and his reading, he's a smart kid!
