shrunken curtains

I shrunk my curtains the other day. I decided to be a good housewife and wash my curtains and windows downstairs and I didn't read the directions and hence shrunk my beautiful, red striped living room curtains that I absolutely loved!!!! I was so sad....so so sad. Who would think that I'd be so sad over shrunken curtains? I just loved them so much....and curtains are expensive, so who knows when I'll ever be able to get more. :-( I'll have to put up some old ones that aren't as pretty as my red striped ones. It's making me sad all over again just thinking about my poor curtains and their now shortened status.

Cory is napping in his swing right now. He was quite fussy so it's nice that he finally went to sleep and could give me a moment of not holding him! We slept till 9:15 this morning. It was well needed after the night I had the previous night. I love when Kayden sleeps for 12 hours!

Jon applied for two jobs in Maryland so we'll see how that goes. They aren't going to renew his workplace arrangement anymore so he has to find something else within the company or go back on the phones. And he doesn't want to do that. So....we shall see!

I have to go out and run a few errands today but I have no motivation to go out. Cory makes me nervous because you never know when he's going to flip out. When he flips out...he FLIPS out!

Kayden gets to go to an easter egg hunt tomorrow! I'm sure he's going to have a blast! :-) I think I may just be more excited than he is! We went the other day to get his Easter present. I can't wait to give it to him! He's going to love it! We'll probably give it to him after church because he'll want to play with it and there's no time before church. I'm waiting for everyone to ask him what the Easter bunny brought him and for the confused look on his face because Kayden does not know who the Easter bunny is. It's always an interesting moment. People always seem curious why we don't do Halloween, the Easter Bunny, or Santa Claus. They just assume everyone does. Even at church, where you'd think they wouldn't be surprised to hear someone doesn't do those things.

Well Cory is stirring a bit in his swing, so I better go make lunch while he's still good!!

  1. Hey girl,

Will be praying about the job thing. I'm with you on the holidays. I'll have to tell you a funny story about that sometime...one of these days when we catch up again.

Thanks for letting me know about the parenting seminar...would love to have gone but we'll just be getting back into town from a wedding. :/

I wonder if Verizon has any job openings our here...you'd still be about the same distance from your Mom :D LOL

Glad all is well with your family!

  2. Did you put the curtains in the dryer? or in hot water or something?? i wouldn't think they'd shrink if you washed them in cold and hung them to dry- thats what i do with mine unless they say they can go in the dryer. maybe you can just hang them up short. haha. that is so sad though, i'd be really sad about that too b/c i like my curtains too!! :( So what was the Easter present for Kayden?? you went on about it and never said what it was! lol. I know, the holiday thing is funny... we are not supposed to talk about Halloween, Santa, etc. at school but of course the kids always end up talking about it anyway! I think its funny that even the "church kids" and parents go along with those things. Although, we always did Halloween when I was a kid haha. And I still get presents from Santa :) lol...so i don't know hehe. well ttyl!
