letters and kicking

So I felt the baby kick on Thursday!!! It was so exciting. I was sitting at my in-laws at the computer and there it was a nice butterflyish feeling, then again, and again! Then I started to laugh so I couldn't feel it anymore. It's kinda early according to most websites. But that was definitely it! No doubt about it! I haven't felt it since though. My ultrasound is in two weeks tomorrow! I so can't wait! I want to know what I'm having!!!!! Jon is worried...haha. He's scared to have a girl. I don't think he thinks he knows what to do with a girl. He'd catch on quickly.

Also Kayden has been obsessed with letters lately. He always wants to watch the "Letter" movie and is always bringing me letter puzzle pieces so that I can tell him what they are. As of now he knows the letters, B, W, and Z all the time and knows A, F, G, and R some of the times. He also knows the sounds for H, M, and U all of the time and for B, F,G, and R some of the times. I guess it just depends on his mood. I don't know. But he's learned them all very quickly and mostly by himself from watching that movie and having us just tell him what they are. I've been working with him more lately since he's so interested. It's a good obsession. I'm very proud of him. :-) He'll be all ready for Kindergarten! I'm not sure yet if we'll send him to pre-school or not. We'll see next year if he needs the social interaction or not. I'll teach him everything he needs to know.

This week is Bible school at our church. It's from 6-8:45! That's a long time. Past bedtime for most kids. I wish it were alittle shorter but then they wouldn't get all the stuff in I guess. I also wish it were in the daytime but I guess with people working and stuff we wouldn't get as big a turn out. I'll be in the nursery because I didn't want to teach this year and there really wasn't anywhere else for me I suppose. It's going to drag on for sure. When I'm in the nursery for church, it drags on and that's only an hour!!! this is almost 3!!! I might lose my mind by the end of the week! But hopefully Kayden and all the other kids will have a good time and learn a lot!

Then next week, I'm off to my parents! I'm very excited! I miss them!

  1. Hey Ash,

That's funny...our VBS is from 6:30-8:45, Sun to Wed. this week. I thought the same thing about the time, but they've been doing it this way for years. I usually stay home with my youngest and somebody picks up the older ones for me. I can't wait to go and help out though...just doesn't seem like there's a whole lot to do when your arms are tied up with a sleepy baby :/

Anyway, congrats on feeling the baby kick! That is always exciting :D Have fun at your Mom's...the kids keep saying that they miss her :/ Enjoy!
