potty training and pacifier withdrawal take 1

So Kayden got a cold last week and he couldn't breathe to go to sleep while sucking on a pacifier. In the past I have taken the pacifier away from him so he could breathe and fall asleep. This time I just never gave it back to him. It's been since last Thursday that Kayden has been pacifier free. :-) He's asked for it a couple of times right when he was going to sleep, but never during the night. He sleeps just fine without it once he gets to sleep. I've had to lay with him to get him to sleep though because he keeps getting upset when he coughs. Hopefully when he's over this cold, he will be able to fall asleep by himself. That would be nice. We threw all the pacifiers away except two. But I think I will throw those away as well. I'm never giving it back to him. I should have done this a long time ago. Cold turkey is definitely the way to go. Probably by next week he won't even be asking for it anymore.

So now I've gotten rid of one thing I've been wanting to get rid of for a while. Now it's time to get rid of diapers! This may not be as easy. He doesn't like the potty. I made him sit on it when he woke up and he peed. Then not even 5 minutes later peed again in his underwear all over my kitchen floor. Not that bad when it's on the kitchen floor because it's easy to wipe up. I ended up putting pull ups on him because I don't think I could handle if he pooped in his underwear. I think I'd just end up throwing them away. Pregnancy makes me not able to handle that kind of stuff. I can't even handle putting the pee from his potty into the toilet without gagging! So he pooped in his pull ups, then peed in his pullups. I just put underwear back on him so we'll see what happens. I don't want pee all over the place. I just don't think he gets it at all!!!!! Argh! I'll keep you all informed!

Big ultrasound tomorrow evening at 6! I can't wait to see my baby! He/she is kicking all the time! :-)
