new to this

Hello! I decided to start a blog for all of the people that I don't get to talk to that often. My thought was that maybe they'd be interested in what's going on in our day to day lives. At least if no one else reads it, my mom will :-) coz she loves me!
So let's see what I should write about- right now Kayden is in the midst of twice daily breathing treatments and twice daily round of antibiotics. The doctor seems to think he may have asthma and also a sinus infection. He seems to be doing much better and his ongoing cough seems to be almost non-existent now. So that is wonderful news. Hopefully he won't need to continue the breathing treatments for much longer, especially since it says that it can stunt growth. That would not make Jon happy, who wants his son to be in the NBA. Not sure he'll ever get that tall, but Jon can hope for it. Kayden does love basketball so that would be really cool if he were to get that tall and be good at it! :-)
Before starting this blog, I was just looking at the Sesame Place website. We want to take Kayden there this summer. He loves Sesame Street and I'm very excited to take him there. Hopefully he won't be afraid of the characters. He seems to be afraid of people dressed up as strange things. So we'll see. He'll be older then so let's hope he doesn't flip out! It's very expensive to go to that park though so we'll have to start saving now! I'll have to get all the change out from Kayden's piggy banks to help pay for it. I'm sure he won't mind. The last time I raided his piggy bank was to help buy him a car seat- very practical. He needed it and it was expensive, so he helped to pay for it :-)
So this is fun. I think that I am going to like rambling on about this and that on here- even if no one reads it (except my mom of course).
One more little story before I'm done for today. Kayden loves to put on his Daddy's hats and wear them outside. We have been trying to get this kid to wear hats since he was born and he always refused. So now he decided that he likes Daddy's hats, not sure if he would wear hats that actually fit him, we stopped buying them. It's so cute though to see him with a hat on that clearly doesn't even come close to fitting him. He wore one to walmart yesterday and wouldn't let me take it off when we were inside-very cute! He also loves to walk around the house in our shoes. He is doing so right now. That's what made me think about writing about it. What an adorable kid who is now chasing the poor dog.
It's my parent's dog's birthday today. Happy 9th Birthday Chloe! :-)

I think it's a great way to make us..far away....friends and family feel like we're having having a chat "over the fence" like next door neighbors.

  2. Hey, welcome to the blog-o-sphere as they say. Kayden has gotten sooooo big since the last time we saw him. I guess he doesn't get away with throwing cake on the floor anymore, huh--lol. He is such a cute kid. Thanks for letting me know about your blog! ;)
