Snow Day

Yesterday was a snow day. It snowed all day! There was ice completely covering our car and it wasn't looking like it was gonna go anywhere so I told Jon just to call off of work. I'm glad I did because it was bad the rest of the day and still is! We are however hoping to get out of the house today!
Yesterday turned out to be very productive though. I finally cleaned out Kayden's closet. It really needed it! Jon was there to help me when I was stuck in the middle of all the stuff and couldn't move to get rid of things. He was a good helper yesterday. Kayden sat on his bed the whole time watching his new movie, Elmo in Grouchland. He loves it! It's an hour and a half long! My son loves to watch Elmo! He now likes Ernie too because he has an Ernie doll that is the Ernie version of Tickle Me Elmo. He thinks that it's hilarious and laughs and screams at it. At one point Ernie says, "Help Me Rubber Duckie!" so Kayden went and found a duck, not rubber and he makes the duck attack Ernie. It's rather strange but cute!
I also flooded our kitchen a bit yesterday! I had the dishwasher running and it's the kind that you hook up to the sink and plug in and the water comes back out in to the sink. Well apparently the sink was blocked up and all the water filled the sink and went onto the counter and onto the floor-all the way to my dining room rug! We were in the living room and I wasn't paying attention until Brooklyn was in there licking up the water on the floor! It also leaked down into our basement somehow. Not sure how. So it was quite the adventure!
Kayden slept well again last night! He slept from 10:15-7:30! He's so good! He caught on real quick! I had to go in once to give him his pacifier- well I had to find it- it was in his shirt! Not sure how that happened! As soon as I stuck it back into his mouth he went right back to sleep and I got to go back to my room!
Kayden's eating breakfast right now and he finished his cheerios and his milk. So I told him to go get the box and I would fill up his bowl. So he did. Then he wanted more milk and so he went into the frig and brought me the milk! He recently learned how to open the frig and seems very happy that he can go in there and get out a sippy cup if there's one in there. It's nice that he can help out though. He loves helping me make lunch and putting the stuff back in the frig for me. He also loves to throw things in the garbage or in the sink (including Brooklyn's toys) and emptying the dishwasher. He gets quite offended when I start without him!
Anyways, Jon's off again today for his real day off, so hopefully today will be a good day too! Have a wonderful day everyone!
